Chronicles I represents my second phase of orchestral writing, circa 2002-2004. I was developing an interest in how an orchestra actually works, as well a taste for incorporating ethnic stuff in my compositions.

I had also moved on to working with the Yamaha XG synth standard, which gave me a lot more tonal possibilities (though of course still a far cry from modern technologies).
